Coffee & Scales
Hello, and welcome to my new and first ever blog,
Coffee & Scales. I'll be sharing some thoughts about playing, composing, singing, working and practicing.
I thought I'd start by sharing this piece. I wrote "just Believe" in 1995 when I was in NYC. I had received a grant from the Quebec Arts Council to spend 4 months at their Artist studio in Manhattan. The song was written for my mother who had recently been diagnosed with cancer. It's turned into a sort of inspirational piece for me and anyone trying to push their boundaries and move forward.
Here, the tune is in its original from ( 3/4) On my new CD Hold On, Let Go, I play it rubato.
Print it, Play it!
